Oceanside, Ca

So much Fun! That is the best way to describe our vacation. It was relaxing and full of fun times. Aren's cousin Lona and her family (Reza, son Keyan, and daughters Kiana, and Kianoosh) live in Oceanside and we hadn't seen them since Aren and I got married so we decided to take a week long family vacation and go see them and other sights in California. We drove almost 13 long hours and finally found our hotel at night. Davin is a trooper. He is the perfect little roadtrip buddy. He slept most of the time and when he wasn't sleeping he was eating or playing with toys. I took more video than pictures. I kind of regret that...Oh well.
We stayed at the Blue Whale which was right on the beach. Sun and sand every day. The serenity of waves caressing the shore was so peaceful to listen to, and the excitement of watching Davin playing on the beach and getting scared when a wave came in was enough enjoyment for me. But we did more than that. We visited Huntington Beach and checked out Lagoona Beach. We went to Irvine and did a little shopping at the Persian market and ate at The Caspian, a delicious Persian restaurant. I can't wait to go back there. We also spent a lot of time with Aren's cousin and her family. We took davin to Legoland and Seaworld. He loved the Shamoo show. It's all he talks about now.

                                                             He loves beef jerky
The view as you head down the road to our hotel.
Our room was really nice. It was like a mini apartment with a kitchen and bedroom. It was the perfect size to relax in. Very comfortable.
The first day we walked along the beach, found sea shells, and played in the sand and water.

Davin was scared when the waves would come in.

The second day we visited Aren's cousin, Lona, and her family.

(right)Davin and Kianoosh, Lona's youngest (10 I think). (Left) Davin and Lona.

The third day was Legoland.
Everything was made of legos in Legoland. It was amazing.
Next to Legoland was the Sealife Aquarium. That is where our day started. Davin had a great time seeing all the fish and sharks.

                                                                            Legoland

We found Thomas the train made of Legos and flew a helicopter!!
Pirate theme...All made of Legos

We took a boat ride through fairytale land. This is Hansel and Gretal.

A Volvo made of Legos. Volvo was a huge sponsor and if you drove a Volvo you got to park in front of the park and for free.
Our Safari ride.
I thought this was cute. We played a game against two other families and you had to drive a firetruck to the other end of the line, spray out a fire through a window and be the first back to the finish. We came in 2nd. It was a hard thing to do with just Aren, Davin and I, but it was fun.

Davin has a facination with dinosaurs.

The fourth day we went to Seaworld!!
Aren and I were in the bathroom getting ready for the day and I noticed no noise from Davin or his toys so I looked around the corner and saw this....

He was doing what he just saw Aren do. Shave. He was putting shaving cream on his face. I couldn't get mad at him. I just laughed.
Seaworld!!
It's hard to tell what that is behind us. It's a giant starfish and a clam.

Sea Lions Live. A cute sealion show that was so fun to watch. Those sealions are talented and smart.

The Shamoo show. The trainers told the audience to put their hands above our heads in a whale's tale symbole and yell "SHAM SLAM. SHAM SLAM" then the whales would come around and splash the audience. Davin got into it and yelled with the crowd. It was so cute. We were lucky enough not to get wet but everyone around us did =).
After the Shamoo show we headed to Sesame Steet Land. Aren took Davin on lots of fun rides. Unfortunatley I couldn't ride cause of being pregnant. Dumb rules.
Davin even got to see his favorite character...Elmo. He was grinning ear to ear when he saw "the real Elmo". We had to go through the line twice and took home this cute picture in a cookie monster frame. Davin was in heaven!

It was a great day. Our day pass is actually a season pass so we are already planning our next trip back.
That night as we were getting ready for bed again Davin was in the frontroom watching tv and playing with toys. Then the noise stopped...I didn't hear Davin playing with his toys. So I looked into the family room and saw this....
He had taken off his pants, put on his hood and then put on daddy's hat. He likes to wear hats backwards. Isn't he soo cute =).
The next day we took a road trip to Irvine and did a little shopping at a few Persin food markets. Then ate lunch at the Caspian. Yum Yum! I Love Persian food. Then we headed down the coast and drove though Lagoona Beach on our way to Huntington Beach. So pretty. I want to live near the beach so I can sun bath everyday and work on my tan. I was so beautiful.
That night we had dinner with Lona and her family.

Keyan, Lona's oldest (18), is in a band and they were practicing for a gig that was comming up. Davin and Aren jammed out on Keyan's drums.
Davin played backgammon with Kianoosh.

And hung out with Reza, Lona's husband.

We packed the next day and played on the beach some more since tomorrow was sadly our last day since Aren had to get back to work so we cut the trip early. We took Lona's family to dinner that night and had a great time.
We went back the next day to say our goodbyes and visit a little more before we left. I saw these little lizards on the wall of the flower bed and thought they were cute.

I can't wait to go back and visit. Lona and her family are great and so kind. Davin had a lot of fun playing with Kianna.
